1. Some people call New Zealand Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud.

2.New Zealanders can also be called Kiwis but not the fruit 
Kiwis are New Zealand's Native flightless bird.

3. The main languages in New Zealand are Maori and English.

Last Saturday Te Raupo Manawa o Kawakawa went to regionals for Kapa haka .

Athletics day

Yesterday the 27th of November Tuesday 2018 was athletics day .First block was fun activities like discus ,long jump,hurdles,shot-put,bag races, fun races and high jump.Second block was all about races and third block we had house chants we have 4 houses and their names are Waiomio (Red), Taumarere (Yellow),Ngapipito(Blue) and the best house the house that I am in Tirohanga (Orange).👑
My favorite part of the day was Shot-put because the heavy balls were slightly challenging. 
   

Polygon

Hey bloggers,
In class we have been doing geometry we learnt about straight lines and angles but today I am blogging about polygons.A polygon is a shape with no gaps no breaks,no curves,has straight sides and all the sides are connected.  This is my polygon pal and polygon mansion. My polygon pals name is Stacey bride and my mansion is called Singh residence and it cost a lot of money because it is a very luxurious big building .

Boat building challlenge

Yesterday we finished our boat building challenge.Our boat building challenge is a challenge where we have to try to build a boat or raft with a limited amount of supplies.
It was very fun thinking of ideas of the boat design and trying to figure out the cost.Our total cost was 285 dojo points.😆😃😃😃

This is my selfie art that I made myself but it looks way brighter in real life than on a digital device it was very fun and easy to make and I especially love the quote. My pepeha talks about me in Te reo Maori It also talks about the place that I am from.

Footprint

This is my digital footprint that I made on word art.
It was very fun picking out the colours and stuff.

Poi

This is my Poi a it was tricky to make and to hold the plastic bag and tie it but it looks very cool even though I messed up on my first try but Whaea Sally helped me on my second try which made it much easier.

Mid year report

My mid year report
Yesterday I got my mid year report and it was really good I was at school for 90 days instead of 98.5 Which is really good because at my old school I normally got 120 out of 300 which is really bad.
My teacher Whaea Sally wrote really good things about me which I am really happy about.

Writing

I am learning to add more writing  in my stories.

The easy part was planning my writing out.

My next step is to add more detail to my writing.💡✍
Writing is fun easy and you can do it anytime.💡✍

My highlight for the year

1.I want to learn more so I can make it into university and get on with my life

2.I want to learn more so I will be smart and can answer any question I run in to.

3. I can be smart and I wont be pressured to study anymore.

Matariki assembly

This is my matariki assembly invitation for my parents.
The matariki assembly is on the 6th of July next week. 🟅🙂

Our Assembly

Shanaya

On Friday 25 of may it was our assembly and we had a lot of cool items.  My favorite was the waka waka dance because the boys actually did the bike and carried Koda with their arms when Whaea Sally told them not to. There was also a fortnight bullying skit  which was really cool too. It was about the difference between being rude,mean and being a bully. I also really liked the timber dance as well.

Hokoshima wave art

Today I finished making my Hokoshima wave art. It looks really cool. Here is a photo,

I think that my next step is to blend the paint in the background a bit more so it actually looks like the sky.

Project energise

Matua Bodean came in to show us which drink had more sugar.
I thought the the e2 drink had the most sugar.
The e2 drink had the most sugar so I was right.
