Hey Bloggers !
Today we finished our kawakawa balm boxes and labels,
Here are some photos ---------------------------->
We were learning about Rongoa maori
Our task was to put together our boxes and stick on our
labels to the balm containers.
I learnt
- That the balm was made with kawakawa leaves and that it wasn't made based on the actual town
- That Rongoa actually was used in the old days
- The kawakawa oil can be made quicker in a slow cooker
My next step is to put a flap on the top so that me box can close.
Some interesting facts I learnt were
- Rongoa used to be used to heal gunshots
- Some hospitals are thinking about bringing rongoa to be used alongside modern medicine
Yours truly
-Shanaya
I can see you have learnt a lot about rongoa through this unit. I like the packaging you created, you chose an easy to read font, and appropriate colours. I agree that you needed the tab on the top to allow the box to shut, and possibly pictures of the kawakawa plant?
